It sounds like the Bates have everything together, Emomi is 6'8 at 14 years old, my 13 year old is 5'2...there goes my meal ticket.

My meal ticket (daughter) is 4'11 3/4" at 17 yrs old. That's OK as she competes as a Level 10 gymnast. She is currently recovering from a torn Achilles injury. She is interested in Yale and Brown. Did not show interest in U-M...says it's too cold. That's funny since we live in Syracuse NY.

Congratulations to her and to you for having that kind of interest.

Parrish, who we offered in the class of 2019, gets props for his work vs the highly regarded Bates

Saw Bates play live for the first time on Tuesday as Lincoln beat Chelsea 77-50. Bates played well. You can tell his potential is sky high.
Tonight he played even better, racking up 43 points and 10 rebounds in a 68-56 road win over a tough Ypsilanti squad. Tom Izzo was in attendance.

Emoni Bates, of the reigning state champion Lincoln Railsplitters (yes, I enjoy saying that), recently picked up offers from both Michigan State and Michigan. Bates seems to be sticking around at Lincoln for the coming school year, despite speculation that he might decide to flee the state for one of the basketball factories. In fact, I recently read that a talented high school player from Dayton recently moved to Michigan and will play at Lincoln with Bates. ESPN currently has Emoni ranked 1st in the class of 2022. www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/news/_/id/238280/emoni-bates

The hype train is really going to start rolling out. The Athletic listed him as the #1 Prospect across ALL classes right now.

Nice move by Emoni Bates (of the reigning state champs Ypsi Lincoln Railsplitters) to give a mention to EMU for making him an offer. He's not going there (I'm guessing MSU if he goes to college at all), but I am sure they appreciate him tweeting about the program. Notice the pic he used is of Ty Groce, who also went to Ypsilanti Lincoln High School.

At my old high school tonight watching Emoni Bates in action. This kid is so gifted. And he's playing a much more efficient game this year.
