I'm sure Tony Paul has all the pertinent information and is just waiting to spring it on the public when the time is right...

I found a Christian Brandon who played at Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham NC in 2014-15 as a 6'4" freshman. He would have been class of 2018. Here's a scouting report for the same player, but listing him in the class of 2019 future150.com/hs/basketball-profiles/christian-brandon-cf-durham-nc-2018I'm not even sure if I have the correct player at this point. I guess the University's press release will be enlightening. If that is the correct player, that is a promising scouting report, with the qualification that it is four years old. If Chris played with Antoine last year, it would certainly indicate that Coach Davis is very familiar with him. And I'm still in "Trust Coach Davis" mode until he gives me a reason not to. :-) Go Titans.

I think it's pretty clear that there is no such player as Chris Brandon and Coach Davis and his staff are just trying to psych out other teams, keep them guessing, and get them to spend resources trying to find and scout this guy. I imagine we'll announce that he is injured, but will be listed as "probable" for each game, so opponents will still have to figure out how to guard him. It's a diabolically clever strategy by Davis.

It looks like coach Davis might have found a hidden gem. I was impressed with Brandons toughness against WSU, the kid is strong and doesn't mind getting dirty. I am looking forward to watching him develop on the offensive end.

Brandon is one of the players I'm most looking forward to seeing tonight. We need to have at least one other young player, besides Davis, develop from this recruiting class and based on the exhibition game, he's off to a good start. Toughness and rebounding never go out of style. I was figuring Isiani would be the "other" freshman "player" based on the practice/hoop nite in the D reports, but for some reason he didn't play vs Wayne St (is he injured??). Does anybody know if Brandon appears to be a slasher, a jump shooter or a back to the basket type player?

I don't know, but if I recall there was one poster on the other board who at some mentioned Isiani had a minor injury. But that said, I can't find such a post.

Isiani was being treated for Plantar Fascititis, that was keeping him out of early practice sessions. I'm guessing that is responsible for him not being dressed for Hoop Night in the D and not getting minutes against Wayne St.

Right now he doesn't have much of an offensive game, I think most of his points will come from offensive rebounds/tip ins.

Well, you can always use rebounding, and he's got plenty of time to improve his game at the offensive end.
