Here's an interesting name for you guys - Tariq Woody. He is originally from Novi and played last season as a freshman at D2 Wheeling Jesuit and has decided to transfer. Now the key numbers: 6’9", 250#, ranked 3rd overall in D2 FG% at 64.2%; 12.4 ppg, 6.7 rpg, in 22.1 min/g. If I remember correctly, Commissioner mentioned his name over a year ago as someone we could have interest in. Of course, D2 to D1 transfers have to sit a year, so he wouldn't help next season He may not have to sit a year. I read that Wheeling Jesuit has invoked an emergency clause because it is no longer financially viable to remain open.

You're likely correct - I didn't know why he was transferring, just that he was transferring

Lehigh Forward Pat Andree will graduate and transfer. Andree averaged 12.9 PPG & 6.2 RPG this past season. Made 70 threes at a 42% clip. 6'8" 225# There have been dozens and dozens and dozens of transfers announced in the past 2 days. It is crazy and out of control and I'm starting to think nobody is committed anymore. Just look at the feeding frenzy only hours after a solid player makes his announcement. I'm also thinking a smart (mid major) coach could really exploit the transfer market and build a strong team quickly

Bakari Evelyn, a 6'2" guard from Valpo is transferring as a grad transfer. He went to Hillcrest Academy and Southfield Christian. He played in all 32 games for Valpo and averaged 28 minutes per game. 8.4 PPG.

6'10" 240# grad transfer from Chicago. Approximately 10 min per game. 2.2ppg, 3 rpg. I would take him. Not great stats, but played in 32 games and had a good rep coming out of high school. I'm not sure how much coaching Chris Collins is doing at NW, but Coach Davis has had success before with players who struggled on the high major level. Perhaps he is a guy with some connection to Dildy. We can certainly offer him the chance to compete for a starting spot, and he has the size already.

Naji Ozeir of Novi, who was a preferred walk-on at Michigan in 2017-18 but not on the 2018-19 roster, has filed to transfer. He graduated from Novi HS and then went post grad at an academy in Connecticut. 6'8" about 220 lbs.

We have two commitments that will be announced soon. A BIG center graduate transfer and a F sharp shooting JCT. Vox habeat fiduciam 🙏 I'm wondering if the Forward is this past weekend's visitor, Nathan Scott, and the big guy a grad transfer with a Chicago/Dildy connection such as Northwestern's Barret Benson or Chicago State's Patrick Szpir I like the idea of adding Benson. Don't know much about Scott, but if the staff likes him I'll be happy with that commitment.

Here's a familiar name from last offseason (also, another name from last offseason, Damon Harge is still available)

I was following Benson a bit back then because he was a DePaul target. He had several high major offers. I think everyone assumed (correctly it turned out) that he was going to Power Five program. I'd be willing to take a flyer on him in the hopes that he is more Percy Gibson than Pat Ackerman.

If we're just tossing out names... Jaedon Ledee, a 6-9 freshman center at Ohio State, is transferring. Played in 26 games, started 2, averaged 3 points, 1.7 rebounds in about 6 minutes per game. I mention him because he's from Houston, so presumably Coach has some familiarity with him and HS and AAU coaches. Was a 4 star in HS. His best game was against Fort Wayne--16 points, 4 rebounds in 13 minutes. He also had 16 points in a game against Purdue.

Here a list of the Chicago area transfers (many of whom are grad transfers) which means a possible Dildy connection. Click on the tweet for the complete list of 18 and for info on each one
