I think the game vs Northeastern could be a shootout between the 2 top individual scorers in the country. Roland finished with 44 tonight after scoring 39 in the opener
EDIT: It's now 42 this game as one of the baskets has been credited to a different player

At home, Louisiana handled Youngstown State easily tonight. 73-61.

I've always gotten a kick of early RPI numbers, precisely because they are so meaningless. Nobody knows the mysterious NET rankings, but here are this morning's top 10 under the old RPI formula: 1. Virginia 2. Evansville 3. Illinois State 4. Sacramento State 5. West Virginia 6. East Tennessee State 7. Richmond 8. Ohio State 9. North Carolina 10. Colorado Sacramento State is heading to the final 4. The Titans are 291. Wright State is 42.

Definitely, Commissioner, early season RPI and NET ratings are meaningless especially when so many HL teams played so many games that do not count towards their ratings. Nevertheless, it works to our benefit to claim the current strongest schedule in D-1 - even if that claim will dissipate later in the season as more HL teams lose more games to lower rated opponents. It's certainly a positive that can be used in recruiting - especially if we have a good prospect on the fence. Under Mike Davis, you will play a top 10% non-conference schedule. And ESPN got the branding correct.

With Kansas losing today to Villanova, it looks like Gonzaga will be at #1 in the polls. This sets up the biggest Titan upset ever in about a week.... (A Titan fan can always dream, right?)

Announced 11 days before the game.
And, as we've outlined already he shouldn't be having his jersey retired with the ALL TIME Titan greats.
And a couple dozen Titan fans will actually see this and be there to appreciate the honor.
