Big West Predictions per Lindy's. UCSB, UCI, and UC Davis expected to return to the top.
Novi native Trey Maddox, Jr., who spent two years at Oakland, is preseason first team all conference after averaging 16 ppg last season.
Note for the old timers: POY pick is Collin Welp, a forward from UC Irvine. His father is Christian Welp, 1980s college basketball star and all time leading scorer at the University of Washington. Sadly, Christian passed away at age 51 in 2015.
