I wasn't sure if Wayne State would have a basketball season this year, but they have released a schedule. David Greer is back again as head coach, for the 19th season, and former Titan EJ Harralson (18 seasons with WSU) and former EMU Eagle Lorenzo Neely (17 seasons) remain on staff as assistant coaches. Talk about longevity and consistency! Brailen Neely is expected to close out his WSU career on a high note. wsuathletics.com/sports/2020/12/10/basketball-gameday.aspx

They just played Baylor in the NCAA Tournament Interesting timing. Hartford has been D-1 for 37 seasons. They've had just 13 winning seasons, but that includes the last 4, the best 4-year run in the school's history (previously they'd never had more than 2 consecutive winning seasons); and this year was their first NCAA bid ever. It's a cost saving measure, although it's not clear how much they'll save. Their undergrad enrollment is down 15%. Most of the savings comes from replacing scholarship athletes with paying students, but if they can't recruit those paying students most of the savings won't materialize.

They just played Baylor in the NCAA Tournament Rough break for the players. Hopefully those who want to continue playing will quickly find destinations. There are a few on that roster that should draw some good mid major interest.

Since signing a high school big man or anyone else that may need development is out of the question for our staff, I'd target Hartford's big man, who just entered the portal - Miroslav Stafl 6'10" 235# averaged 10.3 ppg and 5.5 rpg last season www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/miroslav-stafl-1.html
