Congrats to Titan great Willie Green, who is currently serving as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns beat the Lakers last night to win the first round playoff series 4 games to 2. First playoff win for the Suns in a LONG time. Willie continues to make his mark. Check the links below for some content on his impact on the Suns. Willie was a great Titan player and has been one of our most generous and impactful alums. He deserves all the good things coming his way. At any rate, he deserves his own thread and a place to mark his accomplishments. www.nba.com/suns/features/big-easy-bond#www.brightsideofthesun.com/2019/6/4/18652437/phoenix-suns-offer-assistant-coach-willie-green-warriors

Willie Green and the Suns fell short of their championship goal last night, as Milwaukee beat Phoenix in game six of the Finals to win the series. Next up for Green should be an official announcement of his hire as head coach of the Pelicans. Too bad Phoenix didn't get the win; Green could have had a spot in the "Titan NBA Champions" section of the larger "Titans in the NBA" display I hope to see the University create.

Too bad that those mentions were absent. During the national NBA telecast of a recent Pelicans game I watched, one of the announcers mentioned Willie's uncle as a mentor but also specifically mentioned "Perry Watson, his coach at the University of Detroit" as a strong influence. And it was just a comment during the game, not a special segment on Green. You would think they would have talked about Coach Watson in that feature you linked. Cut out in the editing maybe.
