The ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 are set to formally announce an alliance, which pending final approvals could come as early as Tuesday. Alliance may impact the bowl games that ESPN controls. Nonetheless, this announcement might be good for the Quick lane Bowl & Ford Field, since they might be able to host a better bowl game matchup. However, it may hurt the MAC losing a spot in that game vs Big 10 opponents after the contract is up. I give alot of credit to Pat Hoffman, former UD SID (1979) and the late Coach George Perles for having the energy and drive to start this annual bowl game. Both born and raised in the Motor City. The University athletic department needs to work with the Big 10/alliance. In return we maybe able to attract a better non-conference basketball match-ups otherwise, we would be stuck playing teams from the bad conferences which will lower our basketball ratings. I want to volunteer and form a group to help us with having a voice as this potential bowl alliance takes place. In my opinion, we must to be forming new partners in the bowl alliance going forward, if we want to continue playing against quality basketball programs (Iowa, Virginia, Washington). Anyone want to join this group that can be proactive not reactive to the "quick" changes taking place? Let's build a team... Btw I have been volunteering on December 26th, for this bowl game since 2003. Thoughts please commissioner and everyone else on this board(I love your basketball passion)? www.google.com/amp/s/sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/with-college-football-alliance-near-what-could-it-ultimately-mean-025120271.html

The future men's and women's basketball schedules will feature more early and midseason games between the leagues, as well as annual events such as the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, which has been held since 1999.
Where do we stand after this new alliance?Do we have new idea's and known what we should be doing next.

Boy Kansas looks like they don't deserve to be in the BIG 10 based on Football, unless they can start winning.
Our AD needs to work on scheduling basketball money games with the new B12 teams in 2023. Does any of the newest members pay for $$$ games?

Kansas might have enough basketball cred to get a Big Ten invite even with that putrid football record. What they lack is connection to a big media market, which is what made Rutgers attractive. I know Houston and Cincinnati purchase buy games from smaller schools. I remember back in 2015 the Titans hosted (and beat) Central Florida as part of a very successful four game homestand.
