Edwin Servil joined the University this week as the new Director of Development for Titan Athletics. Here’s his bio:
Servil came to the Motor City with both professional and collegiate stops and brings with him proven sales experience.
He recently was a Partnership Marketing Manager with Roc Nation in New York, where he was responsible for the execution of advertising campaigns for talent across all three sports verticals. He helped develop creative partnerships and sponsorship ideas with stakeholders and identify ways to integrate campaign deliverables into existing client projects and aided in sales efforts totaling over $10,000,000 for Roc Nation talent, including Kyrie Irving, SaQuon Barkley and LaMelo Ball.
Prior to that, he was an Account Executive, Service & Retention, for four years with Florida State athletics. There, he acted as the overall point of contact for assigned accounts for football, basketball, and baseball and worked beside marketing and fundraising departments to meet and exceed department goals. He oversaw over 1,500 accounts to ensure positive experiences to retain season ticket holders and donors and managed a book of business that included season tickets and booster contributions totaling over $2,300,000.
He also worked as a sales executive with Red Bull New York and led the sales team in revenue during the 2016 campaign and was a manager with Providence Sports + Entertainment, where he closed two large sponsorship deals within his first year totaling $25,000 and maintained relationships with over 300 accounts.
He got his start in college athletics as an intern with Brown University in athletic facilities and equipment and was also an intern on the men's basketball staff at Rhode Island.
Servil graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2013 with a degree in Sports Event Entertainment Management and a minor in Athletic Administration.
