Commissioner, if I may, I’d like to share my dismay with you and the way you handle certain posts on this forum. First, I’d like to say that not everyone has the time to navigate this forum and figure out where everything should go or where you and few others diehards want it to go. Two examples are two posts I’ve recently initiated. The first was about re-re-branding. The post received immediate responses but a few replies later, Sam chimes in and suggests the post be moved. Are you kidding me? My recent initiated post was today, titled “ Dwayne Stephens to WMU”. First response was from you stating that “Three threads discussing WMU's new coach is probably enough.”. Seriously man? Why make this underhanded comment? You could have deleted the post if you really felt it was a multiple duplicate without the drama. Maybe you should have a sticky post with various warnings, sanctions, undertonage, etc. that non-medallion members would face. Make sure to post this is an obscure location that only you and Sam know about so that you can insure no one actually seems it.

It makes sense to me that the forum Talk Detroit Titans would have comments and information about, well, the Detroit Titans.
Similarly, it makes sense to me that a posting about a coach who has zero ties to Detroit Mercy going to a college that is not Detroit Mercy belongs in the category Other College Hoops.
Not that much of a navigation challenge.

You participated in the thread more than once. You’re obviously missing my point above and simply coming to the defense of the Commissioner. It’s not necessary.

Make sure to post this is an obscure location that only you and Sam know about so that you can insure no one actually seems it. Was the first post you mention moved? No. On the second post, re Stephens, my comment was a bit in humor, and I don't know what you mean "underhanded." "Drama?" That's drama? Actually, I liked the fact that you began a thread with a nice, clean title. There's also a thread on the Board on "2022 Coaching Changes," and another on "Western Michigan," both under the sub-forum for "Other College Hoops," and Stephens hiring was mentioned in both. I don't really care that it was mentioned in two existing threads and then had a third created--I just thought it was a bit amusing that the hiring of a coach at Western was being discussed in three threads, so I made what I thought was a light-hearted comment. Would you really rather have me start deleting posts? You're not the first person to express some frustration with finding things or navigating the board. OTOH, I know others like have the sub-boards. For me, I like it because I actually go back at times and search old posts for comments and info, and this makes it easier. But I'm not all hung up on where things go. For the most part I do prefer it when posters keep threads on topic, and when threads are put under the sub-board that seems to fit most. But it doesn't really matter--the ultimate goal is for everyone to have fun, and I hope no one gets too worked up about whether a post is in the "right" place. The right place is wherever you want to put it. You're a regular contributor and I--and I think I can say "we" for everyone who enjoys the board--appreciate your thoughts and insights. I didn't mean to give offense. Keep posting, Hyperion.

No argument that there are many mis-categorized threads. But as for St. Peter's, the actual very first post in that thread was comparing the St. Peter's situation to our own at Detroit Mercy. "Let the comparisons begin" and a comment on Kyle LeGreair.

One of my big aggravations is posting something and having it duplicated hours (the Stephens to WMU stuff) or even days later in a new thread, basically ignoring the conversation that was taking place. I purposely posted the Stephens info in the 2 spots I felt were most appropriate, so as to avoid another duplication/new thread hours later (the WMU thread and the Coaching Changes thread). I'd suggest if your not sure if it's already been posted, to click on the "recent posts" link that appears at the bottom of the front page - then you will know if it's been posted or discussed earlier in the day. I have personally posted duplicates in the past - usually when Sam or PTC beat me to "breaking news" by a few minutes. In that case, when I realize the duplication, I simply delete my post, and cut and paste any new comments I may have in the appropriate spot. I didn't take the Commissioner's post as being mean - in fact, there are many times when I wish he would censor a few of the more annoying and repetitive posters

Hyperion, the only reason I suggested moving your post about branding was because I thought it was a good observation that belonged in the Branding thread so that people interested in that topic would find your comments in the future. I wasn't trying to hide it. Quite the opposite actually. Post wherever you want, man.
