The Raiders add another big guy to the class of 2024, landing a commitment from 6-9 Jaheem Webber. The Illinois high school player had a good offer list, including Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, among others. n.rivals.com/content/athletes/jaheem-webber-276584?view=pv

We have a third recruit for next year that we landed before either of the big men. I mentioned him in this thread on July 26. 🙂 You guys have a solid looking class for 2024. Quality big men are hard to come by for mid majors and WSU might have landed two.

Holden played 3 yrs at Wright State and one at Ohio State. He must have not graduated if he now requires a waiver to return to WSU. Tanner Holden is eligible to play this season for the Raiders. Per reports, he met the requirements for graduation, and is immediately eligible as a grad transfer. Big news for WSU.

Rumors were that Nagy was looking to leave last year because he knew AD Grant would be retiring and because the Department of Defense may buy Wright State, tear it down, and add the land to Wright-Patterson AFB. Well, the second reason is rank speculation. SIU trustees had just voted to increase the basketball budget. WSU had been permitted extra time to operate below the D1 minimum sports level due to budgetary issues that resulted from Covid. Maybe Nagy was tired of operating on tight budgets.
