I have some good memories of the Fisher Center, but I also remember wanting to snatch an employee over the counter after he copped a serious attitude with me at the Registrar's office when I was just a young student with questions. Thankfully, God gave me patience that day.
Any thoughts on what we would like to see at that location once demolition is complete?

From what I heard, best case scenario is it will be nicely landscaped green space. Another person said they were going to add parking spaces there.

It doesn't need to be more parking. I'd like to see a theater there, but until some angel comes forward with a bulging checkbook, I'd vote for a green space.

I'm sure you are aware NC but others may not, there is a project currently underway to build a blackbox performance space in the recently expanded Student Union Building. That will be the new home of the UDM Theatre Company. A campus building dedicated to the performing arts would be nice but not something we're likely to see in our time on this planet.

And a black box theatre is nice to have on campus, however, this is far from what most of us envision when we think theatre. Agree that some culture supporting building in place of Fisher that is an amenity to both the campus as well as the community would be ideal in that space.
