Per this tweet, and other sources, Andre Frederick of Detroit Douglas has committed to Robert Morris. Good luck to you, young man.

Verbal Commits is reporting that Missouri is expressing interest in Titan target Mory Diane, joining Texas Tech and Michigan State as high major teams that have expressed an interest in the Country Day guard, but have not yet offered.

Here's an interesting video interview with 2014 Titan target Justin Tillman. He discusses his game, his role on Pershing next season, and his recruitment. He mentions the schools that are recruiting him, including the offers he has received, confirming the offer from U of D. I had read previously that he had an offer from Michigan, but that doesn't seem to be the case, based on his comments. metrodetroithighschoolathletics.net/2013/07/08/catching-up-with-justin-tillman/

Well, he does say he's visiting Michigan. Sometimes in these interviews they miss schools - he almost forgot UD - as they're just trying to remember the list off the top of their heads.

An older article from January, spotlighting a player that a few of us are really high on, especially me and TJ: Paris Bass. It's an interesting look at how he kind of came out of nowhere. Wish we could have gotten him to fill that last 2013 scholarship instead of heading to prep school. www.miprepzone.com/oakland/results.asp?ID=8843

Added new offers and interest today for James Palmer, Yante Maten, and Kyle Kuzma. Competition for all three, but especially Kuzma, is hot.

Interesting comment by Steve Bell, reviewing Adidas tournament in Indy: "Paris Bass 6-8 Gr Warriors (Kingdom Prep, Iowa/Birmingham Seaholm) Bass ran out of gas in the 17 gold semis, and the Warriors' ship went down with him. Prior to that, though, he had one of the most resonating buzzes going amongst college coaches of a certain mid-major+ variety. Because they know that if he plays a season for Kingdom Prep, the BCS types will get him." Sounds like people are still hoping to get Bass this year. Also includes comments on Titan targets Darrell Davis, Jaylen Johnson, Andia Marsh. www.bankhoops.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=338:working-class-heroes-mitten-reps-in-indy&catid=18:hs&Itemid=67

Someone commented that he was the best power forward at the Reebok Breakout Classic last week. Impressive. I'd love to have him, but it will take a heck of a selling job to get him. I'm still hopeful about Maten, although him leaving the State for a prep school year troubles me. I'm sure the staff is working him hard, though.

It's late in the recruiting game, but I read about a couple of other 2013 players committing this week at other D1 schools, so there is still time. The flip side of that comment by Steve Bell is that Bass could have a bad prep school experience, as we saw with Richie Lewis and some others recently. Hopefully for him it turns out well, but I'd be even happier if he decided to forego prep school and sign with the Titans.

The recruitment of Leek should be interesting. Sometimes I feel like we have a better shot at landing some of the out of state kids than we do the local ones. Here's an article from February that features a paragraph about Leek. The description is promising. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1473117
