Agreed. Either one would be a great recruiting success for the Titans. Bass would be a perfect fit for that last spot in the 2013 class, and Tillman is could be a program changing type of recruit. Nice to see a couple of local kids doing so well.

In this article, Tarin Smith confirms his offer from U of D, and talks about which schools are communicating the most. "In addition to St. Joe’s, Smith has offers from “Buffalo, La Salle, UMass, Quinnipiac, Wagner, Stony Brook, Detroit, Princeton, Penn, Bucknell and Brown.” He’s hearing the most from “St. Joe’s, Bucknell, Stony Brook and Princeton,” adding that Penn is also in contact often as well." cityofbasketballlove.com/2013/07/reebok-breakout-classic-day-one-notes-court-2/

Commish, it's amazing to me how quickly Kyle became a high major prospect.
One of my other favorite teams, Texas Tech, has interest in him, but I don't think they are even going to make an offer. Coach Smith and staff don't seem that confident in their ability to land him.

Here's a tweet from one of our early 2014 targets, DaRohn Scott. It might shed a little light on what he's looking for in a college. If you had to choose a college on the west coast where would you go. Any place particular or with meaning? If I had to choose a college on the west coast it would be between Oregon, Oregon State, and UCLA because they're all Nike/Jordan sponsored and UCLA is known for their history in basketball. ask.fm/DCS32/answer/59284180907

Scott also confirmed that he has four offers for basketball : Detroit, CMU, WMU, and Illinois State.
He also stated he had one offer from football from CMU.

Kyle Kuzma reportedly picked up an offer from our nemesis, Arizona State.

Per his profile on verbal commits, James Palmer has narrowed his list and removed us from consideration. That's a good example of how the star ratings for players don't really indicate who sought after they are. When you hear "two star recruit", you don't think of a player with these kind of offers.
RT @therecruitscoop: 2014 Team Takeover (DC) guard James Palmer is down to Miami, Wake Forest, Temple, Xavier & Memphis, per a source.

Kudos for Palmer. I appreciate a kid who makes decisions. The next best thing for coach, after "yes," is usually "no." At least then he can move on.
Players don't need to make final decisions now, but they need to give it some honest thought and if they're really not going to take a school over some other offers, they should let them know.
A kid like Kuzma needs to think seriously and take some schools off his list, so I hope he does as he said and makes some cuts this week.

I'm sure any coach would rather hear a "no" than a wishy washy "maybe". Always helps to be able to exclude the players you don't have a chance at. We've still got some good guards on the list. I'm high on Tarin Smith and Mory Diane, two players who seem more likely targets. Kuzma should certainly take the schools he is not interested in off of his list; he can always add to it if any new offers come in. He sure is moving up the charts fast.

Saw a tweet last night that stated Kyle Kuzma would cut his list "down" to 12 this week and begin taking visits in September.

For those who might be interested: I sometimes have a hard time finding out how our prospects are doing in AAU tourneys, but I came across this link that shows how Michigan AAU team "The Family" did in recent games. There are individual stats, including those for current Titan targets like Yante Maten, DaRohn Scott, and Ray Croon. I found it pretty interesting. As expected, Yante Maten appears to be playing the best out of those three, but I'd welcome any of them to the class of 2014 for the Titans. www.d1circuit.com/roster_players/2666385
