The following quiz (I cut and pasted from an Extra Points newsletter) relies on the 1989 book "The College Names of the Games: The Stories Behind the Nicknames of 293 College Sports Teams" by Mike Lessiter. The book is unfortunately currently out of print. I will provide the answers in a reply message.
