I know Kate is happy to be here and I look forward to continued success. The extension announcement which includes the length of the extension is a welcome change to communication with the fans. She was appreciated the faith and confidence shown by the University in negotiating the extension at this time. This was year two of her five year plan. Now she has five more years of success ahead of her. Thanks to AD for getting this done!

Nice to see she will have input in the hire of the next men's coach.

I kinda felt we might lose Forrest she got some time but I thought maybe her parents would give it another year. We

Again, every player is in the portal. Every single one. Some just haven't announced it yet. That's the new world of college basketball, and why the sport will decline.

Murua has transferred to Fordham and Porta has transferred to San Francisco. I feel bad about losing these two they were nice players and seemed like team first players. I wonder what went wrong here?

The list that I read containing their names described them as graduate transfers. They have their degrees from U-D and they are moving on. Nothing wrong…..international students heading for the coast(s).

It's a bummer if Murua and Trawally Porta leave. They played very well together, complemented each other, were a formidable frontcourt. Murua had indicated at the end of the season that she was coming back for her covid year; she had four seasons (three at Detroit Mercy) under her belt. Trawally Porta has played just three years but could have gotten her degree. Both women are smart, Honor Roll students; Murua is the first Academic All America at the University.
