A few UNC players are now actively, and openly, recruiting Jalen on social media. Although at this time there's thought he's going to Kansas. But we shall see. What an odd and overall intriguing recruiting season this has been - all spun up due to the transfer/free agency rule. Looks like Wilson is planning on visiting Kansas on May 30, but is in the process of scheduling a visit to UNC. The Jay Hawks are hoping for a package deal of Wilson and his good friend RJ Hampton. With or without Wilson, the Tar Heels look pretty good for 2019-20. Michigan, on the other hand, could really use a player of that caliber. www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article230591529.html

According to reports, Juwan Howard, Lavell Jordan, and Ed Cooley are the top three candidates to take on Michigan. The fan in me hopes that Cooley and Jordan stay at their respective schools. That Big Ten money will be hard to pass up if they get offered it, though. I have no idea if Howard can be a good college coach or not, but we unfortunately know the potential downside of a former player coming back to coach his alma mater.

Yesterday it was being reported that Cooley to Michigan was a done deal, but today Providence announced that Cooley was staying with the Friars and had received a contract extension.

Iggy says he is staying in the draft; won't be returning to Michigan. Michigan has lost three starters and their coach since the end of the season.

Luke Y finds a home. Per the Twittersphere:
@jonrothstein
Sources: Texas' Shaka Smart is expected to hire former Michigan assistant Luke Yaklich as an assistant coach. Was the Wolverines' defensive coordinator over the past few seasons.

Franz Wagner, younger brother of former Wolverine Mo Wagner, has signed with Michigan for the class of 2019. Wagner had been weighing his options and also was considering playing professionally in Germany.
Good pick up for Michigan.

They also released another photo of coach Howard instructing the team earlier this week. They know how to promote their product in Ann Arbor. The people on Livernois guard information as if they were securing the Pentagon and the Kremlin. What's the point of paying a "athletic director of communications" when they never communicate anything to the fans? This behavior started in the early 2000's and is now firmly entrenched in the culture.
