The 2022 Irish class really is something special. All three recruits are top 100 on 247, and two of them are top 100 on espn. They’re also amazing student athletes. Campbell comes out of Phillips Exeter. Starling is a great student who only really considered other top academic schools like Stanford and Northwestern. Looks like Lublin is a similar guy. These three fit perfectly with the current freshmen. Irish looking like a Final Four team in a few years,

Paolo Banchero, who is facing DWI related charges, nevertheless got the start for Duke last night in the win over Gardner-Webb. Coach K definitely in "It's My Last Year and I Don't Give a F%^k" mode.

Get arrested one day, start the next game. Also, at end of the story you note his grandson was a walk on but is on scholarship this year. His stats indicate he's lucky to even be a walk on. Alas this is the proclaimed 'leader of men'. (I'm not biased against duke at all, clearly )

God forbid Coach K spend a few thousand of his many millions on his grandson's college education. 🙂

Chris Mack out at Louisville? Wow. Seems premature, unless there are issues we don't know about. He's won 65% of his games, including 62% in league play. Made the tournament in year one, would have made it in year two if it wasn't cancelled, went 13-7, 8-5 last year. Only 11-9, 5-5 so far this year, but that doesn't seem to be worthy of termination. Did a great job at Xavier.

He's successfully navigated a former mid-major into the Big East. Good option when Davis leaves. He wants more time with his family. That usually lasts one season... if that.

The cheers you heard in the distance last night came from me and Titan Tar Heel, as UNC beat Duke in Coach K's last home game. Good day to be a Tar Heel.

Congratulations to our Jesuit brothers in Massachusetts as Boston College upsets Wake Forest to win their second game in two days. BC trailed by 10 with 6 minutes to go before rallying to win in OT, 82-77. Wake finishes at 23-9, 13-7, but as further evidence of how down the ACC is this season, they will likely have some nervous days before Selection Sunday. They aren't a stone cold lead pipe lock to get an invite, particularly if there are some bid stealers in other high major conferences.

Remember, tomorrow is a day of obligation when all Catholics are required to watch and root for the Fighting Irish.
