Played just 2 varsity games as a high school, then grew 3 inches before his senior year and another 3 inches since. May be a late bloomer sort. Attended junior high in Detroit area. Olney was 25-6 this year. Appears to only have D-II offers at this point.

We enter the last week of March. Recall coach had indicated a desire (expectation?) for multiple commitments this month. It would be nice to hear something. We actually have more to replace than most teams in the league, and we were in the bottom half of the league as it was. Signing period is April 17-May 15. Failure to bring in a strong class will be a major disappointment.

Vox habeat fiduciam 🙏 I'm wondering if the Forward is this past weekend's visitor, Nathan Scott, and the big guy a grad transfer with a Chicago/Dildy connection such as Northwestern's Barret Benson or Chicago State's Patrick Szpir

Here are the names listed by verbal commits that are transferring (so far), have yet to commit to a new school, are immediately eligible and are 6'6" or taller: Pierre Sarr 6-8 195# Monmouth Collin McManus 6-10 230# Pennsylvania Auston Evans 6-6 186# Lafayette Eric Rwahwire 6-5 185# UC Riverside Anastasios Demogerontas 6-7 210# Northern Illinois Spencer Foley 6-7 190# McNeese State Joe Hugley 6-6 200# Central Connecticut State Kashaun Hicks 6-6 195# Central Connecticut State Not much here based on stats. McManus, for all his size, couldn't even get on the floor except in mop up time. I guess it really is true: if you're a transfer who's a big man, and you can chew gum and walk at the same time, then the upper mid and high majors and P5 schools will be all over you like a fat kid on a candy bar... And from the list above we get this tweet today. Joe Hugley, a grad transfer from Central Connecticut State University was offered. Forget the list above, his bio has him at 6'7" 215#. He averaged 12.3 ppg and 5.2 rpg this season. Here is his bio from prior to this season www.ccsubluedevils.com/sports/mbkb/2017-18/bios/hugley_joe_bii5

And a big man grad transfer: 6-9 C Jadone Friday, from Abilene Christian. 2nd team all-Southland Conference. Over three years has pretty consistently averaged about 13.5 points, 5 rebounds, and over 1 block per game. He was dismissed from the team late this year for "violating university policies and behavior inconsistent with the values of the university." That might mean cheating, or sexual assault allegations, but at Abilene Christian it might mean (I'm serious here) violation of chapel attendance policy, or other lesser if poor behavior. He's a home-schooled kid from Oklahoma, so possibly Coach might have some contacts that would be relevant to evaluating the situation and if desired getting the commit. The SLC is a pretty low level of competition, clearly lower, I think, than the Horizon, but an all-conference player there could probably help us on the court. Coming from the SLC and with the dismissal he might not attract high major attention.

I heard there is interest in 6'7" Forward Malek Green, a transfer from Morehead State and a Cincinnati native. Green would have to sit a year and would have 2 seasons remaining. Averaged 7.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 14 starts (21.3 min/g) last season.

If you go to the 11:40 mark of this video, you will hear Dr. Garibaldi talk about Antoine Davis and the fact that he knows of two new recruits for next year. Dr. Garibaldi's segment lasts about 13 minutes. If you want just the basketball part, go to the 11:40 mark.
