I like this signing too. Does it replace Corey Allen - probably not, that would be asking a lot. But it does add a 3rd guard to the roster, a seemimgly talented player with potential, plus he's a PG - something Allen was not. Although it now looks like we have 2 score 1st PG's on the roster, which is probably not ideal. I was hoping for a pass 1st player who could control tempo and be a more steadying influence - someone different from JJ,Jr. I hope the coaches can reign him in and he can become this. The good thing is he's over 6' tall, so he can play at the same time as JJ Jr, and we avoid height mismatches that would occur if both were under 6'. One final thought, as with any player who needs a year at prep school, I hope grades do not become an issue

Since Simmons wasn't highly rated, that may be the case here. I don't know.
