My problem with this whole thing is that it has been totally politicized by both of our major parties. One seems to be trying to create a fix before a fix is ready and the other seems to be happy making things as bad as possible. The people are at a point where we no longer know who to believe. My wife had all the symptoms 10 days ago. I drove her to a testing site 9 days ago. There were 531 cars that went through the test site and 9 days later there are no results. When you call the lab there is an inept individual answering the phone asking you to call back tomorrow. Symptoms are gone and Temp. is at constant in the 97's but we are one of more than 531 households self quarantining for almost 2 weeks waiting for the results. In 3 more days our quarantine period will be over and we might never know the results and its not just here. I have a cousin in Chicago whos friend came down with Covid so my cousin tested 15 days ago still has no results and has gone back to doing everything he was doing prior to his test including traveling accross the country.

I don't think you need to try to convince anybody that a large % of people who contract the disease recover. Everyone should be well aware of that by now. I assume that by "vast majority", you're referencing the 96-98% of people who don't die from it. That 2-4% is generally where the comparisons to the common cold should stop and be tossed out of the window. I have no issues with people debating need for sports vs risk of spreading the disease, etc. That's a discussion worth having, but Sam is absolutely right when he says that making it out to be some trivial thing "like the common cold" is part of the reason we are where we are today. I have a 42-year-old best friend in the ground and a 34-year-old friend on a lung transplant list at current due to COVID. My bet is that neither scenario would have played out from the flu or the common cold. baller - I'm really sorry to hear about your friends. Prayers to them and to you. Please take care and be well. Thanks, TTH. Appreciate the thoughts. 2020 can go away any time now. 🙁

I have been told that the players are NOT allowed to do any kind of workouts together or use the Calihan court.

Does anybody know if the players are currently on campus/working out? Yes. There are players currently on campus and working out informally in 2 or 3 on the court at one time. I understand that Bul Kuol is one of them. Others will be coming to campus over the next few weeks. *************** BTW, baller, I'm truly sorry about the loss of your friend. Don't presume that you're the only one personally affected by COVID. I know full well the possible effects of COVID because my wife is fighting to keep her cancer from recurring while her immune system remains compromised from her cancer treatment. Also, her brother, a relatively young man, is isolated in a nursing home recovering from a stroke last fall. Every day my wife and I deal with the possible need to alter her medications, postpone or go ahead with doctor visits, check her oxygen and temperature, and stay away from things that normally healthy 20 year olds can do without risk. Every time she coughs, I wonder if this is COVID, the cancer recurring, or just a cold or allergy. While I understand the specific risks to her (and therefore the steps I must take to reduce her risk of COVID), neither she nor I believe that healthy people without known health risks should have to alter their lives because of her higher risk. We're the ones that need to take the extra steps. Don't presume that just because I have a different opinion that I don't care or don't know about what is happening out there with COVID.
