I think overall he has done a good job in his role. There have been many improvements under his watch.
Thank you for your service to the University, sir.

Think back to the university's state 10 years ago -- just coming out of the recession, the city of Detroit was not far away from going into bankruptcy, there were alot of threats to the university across many spectrums.
Through hard work, vision, and perhaps some good luck (economy bounce back, Detroit investment in the area) the university has MANY positives to count when you look at the 10 year tenure -- enrollment has stabilized and been a positive at the graduate level, successful massive fundraising campaign, the tuition reset, a big uplift in the endowment. A lot of the solid blocking and tackling behind the scenes that a university has to get right that we probably weren't doing too well for a long, long time. And, from the narrow prism of this message board...our men's hoops team appears to be in the right direction under Coach Davis and all the things that he's doing to build up the program, improve Calihan, involve former players, etc.
Now, let's pray for the Board in their efforts to find a replacement that can continue the positive momentum at dear ol UD #Mercy.

Maybe the next President will review the alumni survey from 6 years ago and consider renaming the institution the University of Detroit.

I recall the story that Dr. Garibaldi drove Mike Davis to the airport after his coaching job interview and the conversation on that drive cemented Davis' decision to become the Titans coach.
