I notice on Google earth there are three practically-vacant city blocks south of campus, inbetween the residence halls and Puritan Avenue, between Petrosky and Dexter avenues.
Does UDM own this land? If so, any plans to develop them? If not, any plans to purchase them?
Seems like it would be a smart investment for possible future expansion on a land-locked campus.
Actually four almost-vacant lots, the block between Livernois and Petrosky is almost abandoned too, except for a couple small businesss.

I've heard plans ranging from green space to dorm expansion to intramural fields.
