Women lose 76-29. Outscored 23-0 in second quarter. Lots of work needed. Committed 32 turnovers…many on attempting to lob pass into post. I watched second half…only player of note was Irene Murua with 8pts and 11 rebs. Top scorer Burch 15 ppg was held scoreless on 0-8 shooting. Coach should have them in the gym as soon as bus pulls into Calihan at midnight.

My solution would be different than yours though. I would let them have the night to think about it and then re-group. The sad part about it is that they will have to learn how to handle the full court pressure because the game film will be a hit with all game planners. I expect this is a large pothole on the road to successful program. We will learn what they are made of with the league games coming up this week. I know this group can bounce back. I remember the OU game last year where they lost by 30 in a rout at OU and two days later lost in the last two minutes in a hard fought close game.

Coach Kate said that her teaching method is layers. Don't teach everything at once, but use each game to learn something. What the Titans should learn from this shellacking at BGSU is how to pass the ball. I lost count of the number of times they turned the ball over on lazy cross-court passes, sloppy lobs into the paint, and these little "hand-off" passes that time after time ended up in the hands of Falcon players; BGSU had 20 steals. You gotta work hard to have 32 turnovers. And offensively, the usual points around the basket were not dropping tonight.
To their credit, the players never stopped working hard.

We got lucky with this coach this time but Vowels is the one who should be in the gym running grinders and laps.
