We were talking attendance a bit in another thread, so I thought I'd post some numbers. I'm slowly compiling more numbers from the pre-1977 era, but only have included here those where I've got full season info. Attendance was not normally reported to the NCAA until the 70s, and not usually reported in the press or in team record books.
The trend line is pretty obvious.
