Looks like UDM is the 6th seed and will host Robert Morris Tuesday, March 5th @ home. If they win they go to PFW the 3 seed.

Not a single post on the end of the Ladies' season. It wasn't much of an ending--the ladies got stomped by PFW in the Quarter-finals of the HL, 66--35. Still, to go 17-16, winning more games than in the prior 6 years combined, was quite an achievement.
The team finished 3-8 after a big win over conference regular season champ Cleveland State at the end of January. From the little I watched of the Ladies (and it was very little), reading some press, and posts here, I sense is that the Ladies overachieved--they still don't have the talent and depth of the league's better teams. It's perhaps not surprising that they ran out of gas in February. But there's a lot more talent than there was when Coach Achter arrived, and the team appears to be well-coached and playing well together.
I don't much follow women's basketball, but I do remember a time when the Titan women, like the men, were nationally ranked and a real player in college hoops. The women's game today retains many of the things that I once so liked about following the men--not on the court, but off. There's much more parity, so that a mid-major can host big name schools and get ranked, there are far fewer transfers, it's not all about NIL, and the athletes really are STUDENT-athletes.
Let's hope the Titans keep Coach Achter. They may even get me to watching the women's game.

The women need better ball handling…they commit many turnovers, most on intercepted entry passes. But they play hard, appears 5hat they listen to coaching and should retain most of the players.

It was a disappointing ending to a nice season. If anyone had said we would finish with a winning record, get a home tournament game and then win it, we would have been happy, happy fans. That is what happened so we should not be disappointed or down. The future looks bright, and the pieces are in place.
The administration knows they have a keeper in Coach Kate and will do what is necessary to keep her happy. The future looks good. Let's keep it going.

How did Kate not get Coach of the Year?

How did Kate not get Coach of the Year? She was deserving, but so was the Cleveland State (28-4) coach that won it. Winning the championship helps and was probably the determining factor to many.
