You don't like the men's BB coach. You don't like his older son, the assistant. You don't like the men's TV play-by-play guy. You don't like the women's TV play-by-play guy. Is there anyone in Athletics that you do like?  Just some gallows humor in uncertain times, yooper. |

I liked Morris and Mike, the retired Softball coach and just about every Coach that Vowels and Garibaldi replaced or didn’t give new contracts to when they were instituting their agenda. I couldn’t stand the Bernard Scott hire or the Bacari hire. I think the Soccer coaches and new Lacrosse coach are huge steps down. Yup 👍 |

Mike I guess my expectations are way too high!🤷🏻♂️ I am very sure that nothing will flow smoothly until the clog is removed. I can’t be the only one that noticed once Garibaldi and his dupe Vowels arrived Athletics took a huge left turn! |

Would you want to wait until a new AD would be hired and in place before hiring a men's coach? Most posters are wondering why we haven't already hire a coach, and you are suggesting we first Vowels today, hire a new AD and then start looking for a coach? Or do you want an interim coach for a year? |

Or do you want an interim coach for a year? So I didn't mention before in other post to firing the AD and keep MD. Let the new AD take the helm and go from there. It seems like a waste of time to hire a head coach with no track record at the University than go out and get an AD. To many issues can happen going backwards in this process. You are literally bring in someone and firing there boss right away. Anyone on a new job would have some concern if there boss that hired then, get fired right away. I get this is all hypothetical at this point. I wasn't try to go back in time and change history or say hire a new AD first at this point of the game. I was just trying to make a point if they are going to get rid of the AD they are going backwards through this process and it could blow up in their face because of it. |

If there was any intention of firing the AD, it should have been done before the coach was hired, for the reasons JDetroitTitan stated above. Not only that, but Vowels' track record of hiring basketball coaches at Detroit hasn't inspired a lot of confidence, IF he was the person making the final calls on who to hire.
At any rate, if the Titans haven't made a move on Vowels now, I imagine he will be in place at least until next Spring.
