Let's start.
I like Cornell Mann from GVSU, OU assistant. Knows area.
Also like Hassan Nizam. Did great at Macomb. Current CMU assistant.
Definitely think we need to consult Rashad and Willie. Would love to have Rashad in an AD type role.

Mike Thomas remains the best option for me based on how I believe the floor of this program would elevate with him in charge ... tho I'm sure there are equal or better guys to be had. |

This thread reminds me of a bunch of 13 yr. Old boys who want a cool car ASAP but no one in the group has a drivers license! One of the two guys you chose to run and eventually destroy your Athletic program is still there and he has the keys in his pocket. They came in and implemented an agenda that did not include making the Athletic Department better. Vowels is still there and he should not have any input in the search or signing of a new Coach!

You’ve switched the game when you went from “HS coach” to “made name in HS.” |

Perry was considered and rejected when he was a Detroit HS coaching legend. I remember writing letters in support of his hiring. They didn't listen then either. I think they hired Birdsong instead. |

Would love to have Rashad in an AD type role. If you like Mann then you should love the young guy up here at Northern. He only makes $186000 and has turned the program around in his first year. Best team and record in the GLIAC and probably a tougher spot to recruit to than GVS. I have watched his team play and they are a team. He kinda reminds me a lot of Stan Albeck! Of the short list I like Montgomery but he is in his 50’s and doesn’t really fit the pattern set up by GB, Milwaukee and Youngstown , that seems to work in the Horizon! We better be paying attention I think this very well could be our last at bat! |

He's turned down his alma mater Western Michigan on two occasions, he seems to want a P5 job, maybe he will consider it due to UofM having a historically bad season in 2023-2024. Izzo told Dwayne Stephens not to take the UDM job in 2016 and again in 2018, dont know why. He'll probably tell Mark Montgomery the same thing. Montgomery had a 124-170 record with no NCAA appearances at NIU, not sure I want this retread anyway. Ernie Ziegler had a a 75-111 record as the head coach at CMU, I'll pass on this retread. Rob Murphy is currently involved in a sexual harrassment lawsuit from his days as the assistant GM with the Detroit Pistons. He had a 166-155 record at EMU, he padded his early season schedules with a lot of cupcakes. I'll pass on this retread. DeAndre Haynes should definitely get an interview, I think he'd do well. Howard Eisley should also be granted an interview. Andy Bronkema should be on the short list. He has led Ferris State to a 23-7 record heading into the GLIAC tournament, he has 247-92 career record @ FSU and won the NCAA D2 title in 2018. I would like for him to be granted an interview. |
