Further on coach niz...i know from a reliable source that he wants the job. Bad. And that is more than half the battle. He's young and hungry. Knows the area. Did awesome at Macomb.

Correct. He can recruit. In tune with kids. If we want a young and hungry guy, here's our chance.

Would be a gamble…only 29 yrs old. FWIW, Vitale was 33 when he got the U-D job.

Would be a gamble…only 29 yrs old. I am unfamiliar with Nizam, so this is not meant to be a promotion of him, however we just gambled on a guy who is 63 and that got us a 1-31 record. There is not much room for anyone, at any age, to do much worse. I personally am not concerned with a coach being viewed as too young. In our current climate of college hoops we need a coach that can connect with players on a level beyond basketball.

FWIW, Niz is starting to garner traction on the social media scene for the job.

Whomever we hire as head coach must be mature enough to be able to tell the department and university bean counters to stuff it without creating a lawsuit.
