Did you guys see Wright State took 1 day to hire a new coach and that might actually be the worst D1 job because of talk about closing the school. Wright State is not going to close. The legislature recently made a multi-year commitment to fund a new center there. |

Oh yes it is! If he doesn’t have major input in this then why are we paying him to be AD. He is not performing any of the other functions of his office. Who presents the final 2 for final approval? He still has his hands all over this ! |

The legislature recently made a multi-year commitment to fund a new center there. I thought the Air Force base was presently in negotiations to purchase the campus! I understand the Workforce development center is at the Celina campus. Maybe not close but change drastically and no longer be D1. |

Instead of conducting a search, Wright State promoted Nagy's top assistant to the head coach position. If we did that, then your favorite guy Mike Davis, Jr would be the head coach. 25 days ago, the press release said, "The University will decline further comment on the search process until its completion which is anticipated by the conclusion of the college basketball postseason in early April." So far, we remain on track to meet that target. |

Instead of conducting a search, Wright State promoted Nagy's top assistant to the head coach position. If we did that, then your favorite guy Mike Davis, Jr would be the head coach. 25 days ago, the press release said, "The University will decline further comment on the search process until its completion which is anticipated by the conclusion of the college basketball postseason in early April." So far, we remain on track to meet that target. I understand that but if Vowels did he would first conduct a fake search then hire an outside consulting firm, do 3-4 interviews and take a free trip or two to the Tournament. Have a few meals on the ticket and a round or two of golf then the last minute announce the hire! Who then has to put together a staff and start out behind in recruiting! The 25 days are 25 days we can not afford! Everyone seems to understand urgency except the people getting paid! I have been accused on here of being a complainer and those accusations are correct. I became a Titan Fan by choice and it has been a lot of fun! Since the hiring of Garibaldi it has become a chore and I resent that. Keri was a problem and did a lot of damage to the program but I believe the present AD has managed to surpass her and this really angers me. |

Week two (aka next week) has been completed so we have one person out of eleven out so far. The person out has won the award of most optimistic titan fan.
We are in week three with the bulk of the titan fans that voted for this to be the week.

So your position is that three weeks ago the school should have told Vowels to immediately go out and hire someone available without interviewing candidates, with no input from others (the search committee members, for instance), no background check, no negotiating a contract (none of which could be done with anyone still in the tournament mix)? You don't seem to like the results of any of Vowels' other hires, yet you want to have him just do it on his own. |
