During his last season at Hillsdale (β21-β22), Gohlke had a breakout ending and shot the lights out, getting them to NCAA DII Elite Eight.

NCState played 5 games in 5 days at the ACC Tournament last week. Yep. They beat Duke, Virginia and UNC during that run... plus their 1st round victory. That was the basis for my "one of the hottest teams" comment. π

That was the basis for my "one of the hottest teams" comment. π It's a bit the contrarian in me. NC State is a good team, but they're not a great team. Before their recent run, it would have been an upset, but not a huge one, for Oakland to beat them on a neutral court. I don't expect a team of NC State's caliber to put together a long winning streak against the quality of competition they're facing. They will be favored against OU, obviously, but if I'm Kampe, I'd rather be facing the Wolfpack then Dayton or Texas, for example, which is who they might have faced in another region. The Pack has 14 losses. They can be beaten by a mid-major.

Outside of Oregon, NC State is probably the team on that list they'd least want to face right now. Great effort by OU in this one, specifically Townsend. Took an other-worldly 2nd half performance to go to OT and he delivered. Good showing by a weaker HL rep this season.

He always make sound game plans especially when his team is the underdog. The best team MD put together when we played OU 4 times and lost 3. Our team hands down had better talent and size that year. I was expecting OU to get blown out and instead they possible got robbed with that out of bounce call. It looked like OU should of got the ball to me.
