I'm assuming UP was making a tongue-in-cheek joke. I have no idea how good we'll be next year and how long these guys will remain Titans, but at least we have high school guys coming in who are working to improve their games and who want to be HERE. We need guys who want to be HERE (even if they deviate enroute to play in an All-Star Game and come home with a trophy). No I am serious! That is what good programs do. That’s how they become good programs. The last time we had a leader on this team was when Ray Jr. was here and he had most of the team together on campus cross training and playing in two summer leagues in A2 and Lansing. I think they were down at the Saint also. They were out on the field flipping tires and pulling weighted ropes. I wasn’t a huge Ray Jr. fan but he was a leader! I am not sure what went on when BA was here and Davis never had a team just a bunch of guys wearing similar uniforms, self promoting and sharing a ride to games. Then, I guess Toledo, Western Michigan, Indiana State, and Ferris State aren't good programs either because their commits from that area also played in the same game.

I think Toledo is a good program and I know right now we are not!!! I would hope attending classes or not the players would be on campus and eager to get an understanding of their team and teammates and excited to enter the next phase of their lives. When classes end that is not a signal for teammates to all disperse and do their own thing. June 5 might be a little early but not a lot early. This team is being built from scratch it is not just a 3 week introduction on how to be AD’s supporting cast! If you thing some more of the same ole same ole I will work, you are wrong! I think the only two guys on this team who have a feel and understanding of each other are Lovejoy and Geeter. The rest of these guys might not recognize their teammates in a checkout line. Other than the two EMU guys I do not think we have anyone who has played in a game situation with another teammate. I do understand the concept of team is leaving the game of basketball.

Have our freshmen even graduated yet? School's not over here (N.C.). Does an incoming freshman need to have a high school diploma? And are the dorms open yet?

GR Christian exams ran through May 31 and final grades were posted yesterday, June 6, two days after the All-Star game. I think our friend Up has gotten a little carried away here. But I'm sure he's got his Christmas shopping done.

I think that Manciel, Hurst, and Kuac might beg to differ with your opinion. BTW, I would raise the limit to 13 if you wanted to participate in this event so you could have 2-3 hours in which you could advise Monty how to coach his team. theshieldnil.org/dinner-with-monty/

All three of these players were injured last season and didn’t see the floor that much together I would guess less than 3 hours total where there were 2 of them out together. As far as the dinner thanks but no thanks! With the present economic conditions I’m pretty much finished donating for the rest of this year. It looks like Monty has things going in the right direction but let’s readdress that in a quick 7 1/2 months.
