I love this message from lurker. I am enjoying this warm weather in Upstate NY and looking forward to next years team. Currently, my son Alex was appointed sous chef at the opening of a new branch of Veselka restaurant. It is a Ukrainian eatery that has been located in the East Village of NYC for 70 years. The new branch opens today in the hipster capital of America, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. My daughter Abby graduated from Brown Univ last year and begins medical school at SUNY Buffalo next month. She has an interest in orthopedic surgery, probably resulting from her many years as a gymnast requiring medical attention.

As a native son of the 716, I hope your daughter enjoys Buffalo, the cornerstone of Western New York!

UB Medical School has been strong for decades, LT. Every time I visit there are more facilities going up. On the whole, Buffalo is impressive with it's recent growth and urban renewal. Good luck to your family in their endeavors.

Starting with last year’s record, If Coach Monty doubles our win totals every year, it may take up to 4 years to reach .500 ball.
This thought alone requires therapy.

Starting with last year’s record, If Coach Monty doubles our win totals every year, it may take up to 4 years to reach .500 ball. This thought alone requires therapy. A minimally successful 2025 season would mean winning 6 to 8 times as many games as last year--10 to 12 would be better. From there begins the slog back to 20 wins.

I think it is realistic, but our guys are going to have to overperform.

Double digit wins during this first season will be a huge success.

I think it is realistic, but our guys are going to have to overperform. I agree. The point is, we're not going to win 2 games, then 4 in 2026. We should win at least 6-8 games next year, and that will be the new baseline.
