Welcome, Jared. Go Titans! I wonder if he is a preferred walk on or on full scholarship?

Welcome, Jared. Go Titans! I wonder if he is a preferred walk on or on full scholarship? Usually they wouldn't do a press release on a walk-on.

I have no idea how good any of these recruits are going to be, but I love the energy and aggressiveness of the new staff in pursuing new players.

Lincoln Memorial is a very successful D2 program. It was coached by Josh Schertz until 3 years ago when he took the Indiana State job. Schertz is now the new head coach at St. Louis U. The fact that LMU recruited him says that they saw something in him. Another opportunity for player development. Monty's quote in the press release tells me that Lary is a developmental player.

I wonder if he is a preferred walk on or on full scholarship? Usually they wouldn't do a press release on a walk-on. The reason I thought about walk on was that he redshirted his Frosh year but didn’t play a lot his Soph season at D2 then he went to Aquinas which is NAIA and he only started about 1/2 the games.

Had an offer from Dennis Gates to go to Cleveland State out of high school. Hit 33% of his threes and averaged 11.9 ppg on the year, but was 38% and 14.1 over last 11 games. Also hit 51% from the floor and averaged 3 assists pg over that span. Adds some depth at guard.

If LeGreair and Tchikou return, this fills out our scholarships. I suspect, though, that one or both of those will not be back.

Signed yesterday but hasn’t even been seen campus yet this morning as far as I can tell. Not hanging out with the team and not attending classes in the past twelve hours. I want to get ahead of the curve and question his commitment to program immediately. Also call out Coach Monty and his obvious failure to build camaraderie! 😝

I guess there is no need to think about that any longer.

Dennis Gates definitely has a good eye for talent and knew exactly what and who could excel in the Horizon League. I was thinking of this recruit as a 3 but it is a nice option to have a very versatile player!
