"Chase possesses two of the more important ingredients necessary to achieve success,” Troy 30th-year coach Gary Fralick said. “His desire and dedication towards improving his skills is outstanding. Countless hours spent before and after practice and during the offseason working on improving his strength, quickness, 3-point shooting and finishing at the rim skills have turned him into a very good player.

“This is his second year of serving as a captain for the Colts, and he is as solid of a leader as I have ever had in 39 years as a coach.”

Kuiper has received an offer from Rochester and is getting interest from Division II schools, but he feels his future will take care of itself, just wanting to concentrate on having his best senior season.

“Rochester has offered me, and I’ve been talking to a bunch of DIIs, some D1s, really just waiting until after the season to commit,” Kuiper said, knowing the transfer portal plays a big role in today’s college game. “I’ve always had the mindset whatever I work on, it will show eventually, even it I have to go to a lower level to start I’ll compete and show what I can do there.”
