2024-25 Horizon League Preview

Wanted to share as found this conference preview where we were not picked in last, like the Preseason Poll. Article talks about how transfer center Alex Tchikou is the X-factor for Detroit this season. Has a projected starting lineup for the team and for the other teams in the conference. Worth a read.

I think the X factors are Nate Johnson, Stephen Okoro, Miles Mitchell, Grant Gondrezick, Ryan Hurst, Ryan Kalambay, TJ Nadeau, and Jared Lary. If at least 4 of these guys develop over the season, we can have a very competitive team for the HL. I don't think that Frenchy alone can be the difference. He can be an important piece if he finally realizes a big part of his potential. But we need to go 9-10 deep every game to have a chance.

Each year in the HL, 1 or 2 teams overachieve and 1 or 2 teams underachieve versus their preseason expectations. We have not been an overachiever for a very long time.
