Another offer. That Pickering squad is deep. (Note: Verbal Commits apparently hasn't heard about the re-branding efforts.) Verbal Commits @verbalcommits 33s34 seconds ago 2018 Pickerington Central (OH) G Adrian Nelson received an offer from Detroit. (HT @pctigershoops) @adrian4nelson verbalcommits.com/players/adrian-nelson … Pickerington is just down the road from me. That team literally has 10 players who could end up in D-I--essentially, the entire roster. If we could just move the whole lot up to McNichols we'd be set recruiting for a few years. Wow. Are they a traditional power? I never even heard of Pickering.

If we could just move the whole lot up to McNichols we'd be set recruiting for a few years. Wow. Are they a traditional power? I never even heard of Pickering. HIstorically no, they are not, and have never made a state title game. But they have become a power in recent years. They started moving up with the arrival of Caris LaVert a fe years ago. Since then they've produced Jae Sean Tate (now at Ohio State) and his little brother Jalen, a freshman at Northern Kentucky. Last year's team also had Ibi Watson (Michigan). That team lost in the Regional Final to the eventual state champ. They were bolstered this year by the transfer in of Jah Blevins, one of their better prospects. I don't think they had ever produced a D-I player before LaVert. Pickerington is a relatively young suburb on the outskirts of the Columbus Metro area, outside the beltway. For people who live out the boonies like I do, Pickerington is 20 miles southwest and and where you start to find the box stores and such for shopping. There is a lot of talent in Central Ohio--locat teams are dominating Cleveland, Cincy, Dayton and Toledo in state tournaments- so I am glad to see the Titans down here.

Trevion Williams and Foster Loyer among several recruit on unofficial visits to Michigan State today. To my knowledge we've not recruited Loyer. Confirmation of your belief, Commish. It does not appear that we are recruiting Loyer. ny2lasports.com/article_one.aspx?articleid=3638

Looks like one of the Titan targets was scheduled to take an unofficial visit to the "University of Detroit".
PrepWars @prepwars Oct 23 2018 SG Mario Whitley of Frankenmuth (MI) will be attended practice tomorrow at the University of Detroit. Expect a great season from Mario.

The Titans were in to see Rashad Williams, a 6-3 guard at Wayne Memorial, the other day. Like most good prospects in the state, he's been on our list for a while (pre-Bacari), but this may indicate a step up in his recruitment. He has a couple mid-major offers now, from Cleveland State and EMU.

Sounds more and more like our offer was a "he'll know we love him in case things go wrong at whatever high major he signs with" type offer. Love to get him, doubt it happens. It's interesting how active BC is getting in the Michigan market. They got Turner a couple years ago but generally this is the first year I recall seeing them compete for a number of Michigan kids.

Titans play at Calihan at 2:00 p.m. against Western Kentucky. I hope to come up. If that Pickerington game is a night game, maybe we can make it a doubleheader. Whaddya think?
