Correcting something that had been a pet peeve of mine, the NCAA announced that the first four "play in" games will no longer be referred to as the first round of the tournament. I'm glad they fixed that. It had led to teams being credited for making it to the second round of the tournament, without ever winning a tournament game. I'm not a fan of the play in games, anyway, and calling them the first round has bugged me since they started doing it.
From Twitter:
Jeff Goodman @goodmanespn 7m7 minutes ago NCAA announces that round of 64 is back to being called the first round in 2016. Why the wait? Just do it for this year.

Note I recently ragged on this in my "Oregon Preview." It was stupid - a first round with 60 byes. Killed the excellent pattern - first weekend, 2 rounds to Sweet 16; second weekend, 2 rounds to final 4; third weekend, two rounds to crown champ. And I'm constantly thinking "Oregon got to the 3rd round? How many teams are left in the third round? ... Ah, that means they won one game."
