Speaking of transfers, I always take note of the players who are leaving via grad transfers who announce their intentions this way: "I would like to thank Coach Smith for believing in me when no one else did, and helping me become the player and man I am. I would like to thank the best fans in the world here at State U, for supporting me through thick and thin. I will be a Cougar for life. I would also like to thank my brothers, the teammates who I went to war with game in game out. We will always be family. With that said, I am announcing that I will be taking my talents elsewhere and seeking opportunities as a grad transfer. Respect my decision."

I've read more than a few of those already this off-season

I've read more than a few of those already this off-season I hated to see Calliste go, but to his credit I don't remember him posting anything like that. I do remember him telling the Free Press that he was not happy with Carlos Briggs being let go when he was asked why he was leaving. The other thing I find amusing is the guys who transfer but still say, "Returning to my current school is an option." A guy who averaged 17 ppg at Portland State last season decided to transfer. He recently cut his list to Arizona State, Oregon State, Gonzaga, and New Mexico. He added that "returning to Portland State is still an option." Sure, kid.

He won't get another year unless he was injured, and I don't believe he was. Averaged 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds as a freshman at Robert Morris. If I were a Titan coach, I'd be interested in taking a look. I have a few more comments in the MSU thread.

I was confusing the minimum games played in a season that a player suffered an injury to get a redshirt vs a redshirt that would involve no playing at all

Irish land the transfer gem they wanted most, Trey Wertz (Santa Clara). An ideal player for Brey: (1) he’s “old” (2) he’s a very good student academically and (3) doesn’t turn the ball over too much.

Bowling Green grad transfer Justin Turner revealed his final list and will make a decision on Monday. Final List: Marquette Missouri Iowa State Return to Bowling Green With the Schools on this list, I really wonder what the chances are that he returns to Bowling Green? 1%?, 5%? I'll go out on a limb and predict he won't be back with the Falcons

Just say you're leaving so they can move on with the task of replacing you.

It's interesting that another native Detroiter David DeJulius has 3 of the same schools in his final 4: Cincinnati Marquette Missouri Iowa State
