Add fifth year senior guard TJ Moss to the mix. 6-4 native of Memphis. Previously at South Carolina and McNeese State.

We could still use another big…..foreign or domestic.

Imported or domestic, I don't really care, but we do need another PF/C type. Like you, I was hoping that we'd have that person signed at this point.

I'm hoping Anderson will an effective PF for a couple of years as Jones learns how to be a D1 college player.

He was an injury redshirt in 2019, his freshman year, when he had surgery after 7 Games. And the 2021 season didn’t count against eligibility for anyone.

I'm glad the roster is almost complete and we have a pretty good idea of who will be on the team. I will feel better when we get official word on waivers, but it doesn't seem like the NCAA is denying anyone right now. I hope that they move quickly on our requests, and I hope that the University is moving quickly getting in the required paperwork.
I temper my enthusiasm with a couple of realizations. First, while getting a guy who was rated a four star or three star recruit is generally a good thing for mid majors, those star ratings are irrelevant once a player completes that first year of college ball. Usually players ranked highly who transfer down to the mid major level have one thing in common: they didn't live up to those lofty high school rankings. That's not a death sentence, but it does mean that a mid major landing a four star after two years of struggle in D1 ball isn't the same as a mid major landing a a guy like Pierre Brooks or Jaden Akins right out of high school. I do, however, think we have some players in this class who will outplay the expectations that their stats at other schools might suggest.
Second, I'm not really paying attention to how much eligibility players have after this season. If remaining eligibility was a big factor, we'd have Akec, Waterman, McAdoo, and Harvey coming back. I hope the guys we have play really well this year, but I'm not counting on any of them stickng around past that. If they do, that is probably a good thing. I'm just not counting on it in today's college basketball environment, and that's not the fault of the coaches or the program.
Go Titans.

Well said, understanding the college basketball landscape is not "your father's " NCAA. College basketball these days is a combination of what was AAU and JUCO ball was just a few years ago, plus these days players are kind free agents.
Coaches and teams that can't adjust to this environment are destined to exist to play for early paychecks, weak leagues and play-in NCAA games.

I'll beat the drum in this thread as I do in other threads...PUT NAMES ON JERSEYS!!! It is especially important nowadays as we barely get to know a guy before he's gone. We need to do whatever we can to get to know the team, its players, etc. I know I sound like an old timer but alas, this is what I'm needing

Perhaps the readers of this bulletin board would contribute to foot the bill for names.

I'm not sure if the uniforms are issued at the start of the season, and turned in after the last game, as in the past. I think the uniforms may be supplied by major shoe suppliers like Nike ETC.
Perhaps the schools have to pay for the players' names, I think the names on the uniforms are a good idea.
