Here's a little list of P6 Home games for HL teams in recent years, plus AAC, A10, and any other home games of note and a few neutral (almost home) games. You can see the deterioration in the ability to get name schools to visit.
2018-19 Loyola @ UIC (Loyola normally wouldn't rank, but they're a returning Final 4 team).
2017-18 DePaul @ UIC St. Joe's @ UIC Also: Michigan vs. Detroit in Detroit; Also: Michigan State vs. Oakland in Detroit.
2016-17 Georgia @ Oakland Rhode Island @ Valparaiso
2015-16 DePaul @ UIC Central Florida @ Detroit Also: MIchigan State v. Oakland @ Auburn Hills
2014-15 Wisconsin @ Milwaukee Wichita State @ Detroit New Mexico @ Valparaiso South Florida @ Detroit Central Florida @ UIC
2013-14 Wisconsin @ Green Bay Virginia @ Green Bay Northwestern @ UIC DePaul @ Milwaukee SMU @ UIC Rhode Island @ Detroit Also: Michigan State v. Oakland @ Auburn Hills
2012-13 Marquette @ Green Bay Colorado State @ UIC
2011-12 Louisville @ Butler Purdue @ Butler Xavier @ Butler Wisconsin @ Milwaukee St. John's @ Detroit Mississippi State @ Detroit Cincinnati @ Wright State Wyoming @ Green Bay St. Bonaventure @ Cleveland State Duquesne @ Valparaiso
2010-11 Purdue @ Valparaiso Marquette @ Milwaukee South Florida @ Cleveland State St. Bonaventure @ Cleveland State Duquesne @ Green Bay Air Force @ Wright State Also: Illinois vs. UIC in Chicago
There were also more games against other MVC schools and opponents such as Charlotte in those early years. I mean, even back in 2010 and 2011, it was hard, but there would still be multiple P5 visits to HL teams each year. Now we're lucky to get home games with any MVC teams.

That's crazy.
I remember when I went to the Miss State game at Calihan in 2012. I didn't think that six years later we'd still be waiting for the next visit from a high major team.

The tournament selection system really penalized a power 6 team that would lose to a mid-major. And their conferences didn't want that rippling through the conference RPI via a loss to a team with a much lower strength of schedule. Don't know if the new system will change this dynamic. I don't think so.
