Had planned on walking on at Cal State Northridge, but I read somewhere that he had offers from Lamar and Lafayette at one time.

I’ve never seen an announcement tweet by a recruit make a school look more pathetic in my life. Translation: I was going to walk-on at a weak program but Cleveland State’s program is in such disarray (this time of year) that they offered me a scholarship. Since I never got around to signing anything with Northridge I guess I’ll take it.

And we thought we had problems last year. New AD may want his own man in charge. But, now? With Dennis Felton? Who by all appearances is a good coach. I wonder what happened in the locker room. Or in one of their huddles to cause this mass defection of players.
Of course, their APR is screwed if all those players actually transfer.
The rich get richer at the expense of the mid-majors.

Let’s not jump to conclusions. Making a move on his future could mean a contract extension.

Supposedly, he has 4-5 years remaining on his contract and the buyout would be over $1 million.

Now being reported that he is officially out. I wonder if we will get any background on what actually happened there.

What happened to cause a July firing? Awarding this Justin Hill kid a scholarship was the last straw?

What happened to cause a July firing? Awarding this Justin Hill kid a scholarship was the last straw? It just might have something to do with the fact that 4 of his 5 top scorers from last year entered the transfer portal rather than report back to campus for summer practice. And his record was 22-44. I guess the Vikings' August 2018 trip to Italy did not build team chemistry.

Fire a coach who has gone to the tournament at WKU and Georgia because a group of players who won ten games last year decided to transfer? I hope CSU's leadership has a better reason than that.

They didn’t keep anyone—not even an interim to mind the store. This suggests to me a problem going well beyond 2 yrs of losses (in what everyone knew was a rebuilding situation, unlike when Bacari took over st UD) or some transfers—though the transfers may be the result of the bigger problem, whatever it is.

I just talked to my cousin, the Wolstein Mole. He said the coaching staff was embezzling funds and violating numerous university policies. He also told me - seriously - that Rick Pitino is in the mix for the job.
