Orientation for new students begins next Wednesday, so by necessity final recruiting decisions should be wrapping up soon.

For the sake of comparison:
EMU hasn't had an official announcement of their 2019 class and roster. Their website lists a 2019-20 roster of six players, despite all the verbal commitments we've seen come from various recruits on social media.
CMU's official site lists a 2019-20 roster of 17 players.
WMU's official site lists a 2019-20 roster of 14 players. They announced that they would hold walk on tryouts on September 26.
Toledo's official site lists 14 on the 2019-20 roster.
High Point U had an official announcement of the class of 2019, and also produced and posted "Get to know" video clips for each of the four members of the class. Their official site lists a 2019-20 roster of 12 players. Someone connected with the program told me that they might be adding another player to the roster for the class of 2019.
Our U of D Titans still have the 2018-19 roster on the official site.
Hopefully we'll have some good signees in the early period in November and have the 2020 class finalized by the early Spring.

Sam Hofman tweeted this morning “see you in a week” in a post that also included a collage of Titan photos, so he should be arriving on campus soon.

On the latest Horizone Roundtable podcast, Titan fan rep Karic Jones said that he heard at the golf outing that Rose is a walk-on. There was speculation he might not be on scholarship, but that’s a bit of confirmation.

If AD is a walk-on, and Calipari is a walk-on, and Rose is a walk-on, then I think that leaves 3 open scholarships. Is that right? Aside: though lacking in size, AD, Cal, Rose, and Riley form 4/5ths of a pretty good team for a bunch of walk-ons.

It would really round out the roster to add at least a couple big front-court players.

It would really round out the roster to add at least a couple big front-court players. That makes sense, based on the "3 scholarships available" comment that came from the golf outing. At the time, I wasn't sure if that was for 2019 or 2020. Would love to see us add some frontcourt size.

My sources, such as they are (i.e., let's not get carried away) say there is indeed a 6'11' freshman coming in. (Or at least there was a couple weeks ago when I was told this).

Kinda raises a red flag, even in this current transfer crazy era On the other hand, this would pretty much have to be his last stop. No signs of any trouble I can find, despite all that moving. I'm puzzled--wouldn't he have to sit a year? And then have just 1 more year of eligibility (because of the 5 year rule; 2016-17 at UTEP, 17-18 Redshirt at juco; 18-19 @ Tulsa)? But he's listed at Verbal Commits as immediately eligible, and likely wouldn't transfer if that weren't the case. So has he graduated in 3 years? Despite all the moving? That would lower most of the way any red flag I got from his moving -- it would indicate a smart and dedicated student, no? That would also mean two years to play for the Titans. He played at least 15 minutes in each of Tulsa's first 8 games last year, but then his floor decreased as the year went on. To answer your question, he is immediately eligible

After all the "reports" we've gotten, I'm a little confused. I thought the MBM was a foreign player. I've actually messaged with a guy who was overseas for the FIBA 18u championships to try and find out he is, but no luck.

Reports of our MBM vary. His height has ranged from 6’9” - 7’1”. Some say he lives in Europe, but some say he’s American. There are also conflicting reports about his age. He’s been said to be a current HS senior, a JUCO, and a grad transfer.
If you ask me, our MBM is currently playing a pickup game with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

We will set aside the mysterious game changing player Hyperion mentioned long long ago. The rumored player that a few people have heard whispers about: 6'11 / 7' Freshman International Non-European Of course there's a chance he doesn't work out for whatever reason, but these are the tales of the tape for the guy most rumored about among inner circles.

Thank you - that helps also. The key info - International non European. That narrows it down a lot for me

Remember Antonio Reeves - one of the many players we offered out of Chicago. He previously commited to Illinois State. Here's how he's doing as a "pre"freshman on a foreign trip:
