From Vitale this evening: "As many of you know tomorrow at 7:30 am I’m having surgery at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. My surgical procedure is to remove the cancerous lymph node in my neck and the surrounding areas. I must be at the hospital for pre-surgical preparation at 5:30 AM. "I appreciate so much the many many prayers and messages of encouragement from family members, friends, espn colleagues headed by CEO Jimmy Pitaro, media members, people from the sports world and from fans. Yes I plan on doing all I can control to win this 4th battle with this dreaded disease.🙏🙏🙏that God gives me the strength to deal with the problem I am dealing with. I plan to THINK POSITIVE AND HAVE FAITH & win this battle." |
