All right Titans and Matt Johnson way to go! Nice to see Chris Brandon make a difference! And that big shot by Kuol! Davis kept shooting and they finally started falling! Great win again a poor 3 point shooting team that didn’t miss tonight until the end. Good substitutions by Coach Davis today! Good timeout by Coach to avoid the 10-second violation in crunch time.

Good balanced scoring tonight. Love to see that.

I must be too picky. I am seeing an awful lot of not so good basketball. I still hate the no one in rebound positions on foul shots and sitting near center court until the clock runs down and then jacking up a 50 Footer. I wouldn't mind it as much if we tried to penetrate. Johnson missed Waterman in the corner 3 times in 4 trips and I have no doubt Waterman is our best 3 shooter. I do not like Waterman inside playing the 5. Too much chance of his picking up cheap fouls. Rose playing well but not closing out on corners. Can Youngstown keep shooting the threes at their present clip? Yes, not the Titans best game. But good shooting can cover for a lot and the Titans shot well today, including a couple of very difficult, clutch buckets by AD and Bul down the stretch. The way I see it is that we played OK, made the clutch shots, but not our best game. Meanwhile, YSU shot way over their heads from three, and while 1) some of it was defensive failure giving them good looks; but 2) credit for them--they moved the ball very well; and 3) they also simply hit some shots they don't normally hit). If you had told me we'd only get 5 shots from the foul line, Bul would be held to single digits, and YSU would sink 13 three pointers, I'd have not expected a win--indeed, maybe a 20 point loss. So it's a good win, and hopefully we can close out the sweep tomorrow in style. All right Titans and Matt Johnson way to go! Nice to see Chris Brandon make a difference! And that big shot by Kuol! And agree with RC--Coach's decisions really paid off today, Brandon made a big impact on the boards, and Johnson was clutch. I was thinking that if they double-teamed AD on the in-bounds, Johnson was the guy we wanted to get the ball. So, it's always a nice day when the Titans win. The only frustration was watching the game in my lake house an hour from Beeghly and not being able to go to the game.

The Titans defense did a good job on the last possession especially Marquell Fraser who kept the YSU shooter farther behind the 3 point arc than the shooter would have liked. Results is a poor shot and a Titan win.

The previous four Titans' teams would have lost yesterday's game. I don't care if it was ugly at times. There are no style points in hoops. Let's win again today.

Lets hope Waterman is okay today and can contribute. If they went to him more yesterday the win would have been easier. It would have opened the middle more for drives by pulling Bohaman out.

Yes I wondered the same thing. It looked like he got injured on that steal and wasn’t much of a factor after that, and hardly played at the end. I would like to see the Titans looking for him more. His stroke is one of the best I’ve seen in Titan history. And he’s 6’11” and can move. What’s not to like about him? But he’s not a 4 or 5, he’s a 2 or 3!

He turned an ankle and tried to play through it but started to limp so they sat him down. If they got ice on it quickly it should be okay but I saw him sitting and cheering and it didn't look like he got iced.

Very few turnovers yesterday, too.
I was surprised Waterman stayed in after rolling his ankle, and even a minor sprain should've gotten immediate ice treatment. Don't want a little thing to turn into a big thing. I guess we'll see within a few hours.

Winning the second game of a back to back after winning the first game is always difficult. Baseball teams are more accustomed to this situation than basketball teams..Today there is also the factor that YSU has (in addition to not wanting to lose two games in two day) the incentive of defending home court..If the Titans win today, in my opinion, it says more about their mental toughness than physical skills..Prediction: Titans 85.—YSU 77

This is putting the cart waaaay before the horse, but hear me out...Looking at the HL standings. We are currently 4-5 and sitting 7th. Our last 7 games are: YSU replay today, 2x Fort Wayne, 2xCSU, 2xRobert Morris Today's game looms large as a win opportunity in a 'toss up' game. We win today, and sweep seemingly inferior FW & RM, that puts us at 9 wins. Lets say we lose 2 to league leader CSU, we end the season 9-7 which perhaps puts us probably 4th in HL (maybe a shot at 3rd). Getting 4th seed or higher means a 1st round bye in the HL tourney - see bracket here --> horizonleague.org/documents/2021/1/20/2021_Men_s_Basketball_Bracket.pdf Each round they will re-seed and then match teams (highest seed vs lowest seed, etc). From there its march madness and who knows what will happen, but I like the idea of surging Titans led by sharp shooting AD/Kuol/Waterman/Johnson.

Good start for Titans. 10 mins in and no waterman sighting, and we’ve played 7/8 guys already.
