(Don't worry, I've signed up with Oakland's board - if/when I leave, I may take up residence there - they can certainly use and will likely appreciate the info that I like to provide) This would be like Willy Isiani transferring to Oakland.

These guys named "Source" are all over the place on this "breaking" story.

Best wishes to Coach Wright on his retirement and to Coach Neptune on his succession to the head coaching job at the Augustinian University of Villanova.

Interesting to see that in the past 13 months or so Roy Williams, Tubby Smith, Jay Wright, and the Coach at Durham, have all stepped down. Wouldn't surprise me if at least part of the reason was the changes the sport is going through with the portal and NIL. Each of those guys came up building rosters and developing players for the long haul. It's a different world now.

Masiello was a hot property after making back-to-back NCAA appearances in 2014 and 2015. But seven straight losing seasons will do most coaches in, even if they hadn't lied on their resumes. The timing, however, two weeks before the season starts, suggests to me something else happened behind the scenes that triggered the move. Massiello's contract expires at the end of this academic year.
