I thought there was plenty to see with Hobes. There was a 4-5 game run where he looked like one of our better players. Then all of a sudden we started playing Koka more and Liddell was eligible.

I have been a advocate of Jones but if he doesn’t want to be here then by all means don’t let the door hit you in the ass and if he is going to OU then he obviously isn’t interested in an education and I hope when the door does hit him it knocks him for a tumble!

I think it's really bad policy for a school in the same league, 30 miles away to go after players on your rooster, even from the portal. But Oakland does that, years ago there was a kid from Flint Central who went
to Mott and had an all-league first year. A (who shall be nameless) coach from Oakland called Mott Coach Schmitt in the fall, before practice, and asked to work with a certain Mott player in the gym (Kaminski). After the workout, Kaminski told Schmitt he was going to Oakland, Schmitt told him great, congratulations, we'll work hard to get you a great year, when Kaminski told him he was going now, not after the season. The "rest of the story" is Marshall the Oakland star at the time didn't like Kaminski and got Oakland dropped him and he ended up at Wayne.

I always thought that rules forbidding transfers within the conference were reasonable. What screwed that up was coaching making unreasonable restrictions, such as no schools on future schedules, no schools in the same state, and just random schools. It was ridiculous, and that got public opinion going the other way. I think the pendulum swung too far back the other way in a lot of ways regarding the transfer process.

Now it looks even better to be apart of that team and being able to say you help knock off a #3 rank team. Those memories you can't buy.
