The NBA draft is this week. Wondering if there is any chance AD might get picked in the second round at least? Or sign as free agent? He’s pretty willowy and lean so I concede he is a long shot but maybe some team would like the ink from picking up the second leading all time scorer and 2022-2023 NCAA scoring leader (other than the Atlanta Hawks)? Antoine = Brock Purdy? One can hope! I’m not following the NBA too much anymore but hope to se some local guys get picked up by the NBA nonetheless.

I too hope that AD gets drafted, but more likely he will get a look as a free agent. I don't think an NBA general manager is going to waste a second round draft pick for "the ink" that selecting Davis might generate.

I don't follow the NBA much -- I watched a single game all year, and it was the last chance to see one -- but is there a team out there that needs an instant-offense guy ala Vinnie Johnson?

The upside scenario is probably...he doesn't get drafted but then he signs a G-League deal with someone. As the season goes on he lights up the G-League and gets a call up to the NBA team at some point once a few injuries with the big league squad happen. Then perhaps becomes a piece the team doesn't want to send back down and he has a nice 6th- 8th man type of role in the NBA.
I also don't watch any NBA anymore. It's ugly ugly product, although I can admit they are tremendous athletes and excellent at what they do. Its just the flow of the game and such isn't appealing to me. Get off my lawn. *shakes fist

The on thing I think that is being overlooked due to his size, is that he has been extremely durable. I do not recall AD missing much playing time due to injuries or soreness. He is an old fashioned athlete who must be in tremendous condition to play as many minutes as he has and take the constant hacking and grabbing that he has endured! Good luck AD I will be watching the draft and pulling for you to be selected!

But I have to commend the Denver Nuggets (and the Heat) for putting a nice product on the floor, at least in that final game. Entertaining, not particularly ego-driven, athletic team basketball.

I at one time was an NBA fan, but like many of these posters seemed to have drifted away, and I don't enjoy watching it. Watching 10 overpaid players dogging it for 3 and 1/2 quarters to me is not fun. I don't like the atmosphere, like the kissing camera, the racing donuts ETC, I don't like the price and the politics. Not to jump into the NBA's political thought process, but some of the things they do (like BUD Light) makes one think "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING". The NBA's only job is to play basketball, like Bud their only job is to make and sell beer, and do it at a profit.
Years ago the NBA did away with territorial rights (the start of dumb things), where a team like the Pistons had the draft rights to a college star say within 100 miles, like from the U of D. So a local star HS player might play at the U o D. Then then the Pistons have first-pick rights to these the U of D or Michigan players, so the local fans could follow them for most of their career, it made for a great fan base. That seemed the start of micro-managing the game.

I thought this was about ADs draft prospects? I still watch it’s not the bad as far as I’m concerned. But thta me. Btw. I never used to drink Bud light but it’s my new favorite beer. Think I’ll go have be now! Low cal and right now a great prices! Sweet! When AD gets picked up sometime in NBA round 2 I’ll have another to toast him and UDM. But if he doesn’t I’ll have one anyway to drown my sorrows!

Disappointing draft so far! I can’t believe a team would rather have a guy like Emoni Bates instead of AD. I watched Eastern games last year where Bates didn’t even show up. Here is hoping AD plays in Europe and has a great career!

The NBA did a great job last night confirming why they are a flawed product. I hope San Antonio drafted another Darko or Ming! I had the sound on and usually Bilas is part of the group of Parrots that I turn the sound off on.

The NBA: One guy dribbles, one guy sort of defends, four offensive players stand around the perimeter, four defenders stand there and watch them. Somebody jacks up a 3. Rinse and repeat.
