Bass got the DNP-CD last night. Bass was a super talent. I wish he had viewed college basketball as more than just a box to check in search of an NBA career.

Bass really was such a disappointment, as you said such an outstanding talent. If you saw him on one of his good games he was really something, in some ways, he reminds me of Bates, a talent that was a sure thing, but missed.

Yes, he was quite the talent, and actually a much better college player than Emoni was. Bass just never seemed interested in making an impact in college beyond putting together a highlight reel. His red flags were there in high school but I think his talent made him worth the risk.

Antoine did not see action in the Blazers loss to San Antonio last night. Coaches decision DNP I think Portland is a bad spot for him! San Antonio looked like they needed guards

In regard to Bates and Antoine, I don't think the jury is back on either player, fan, but size is what likely got Bates drafted despite the several strong points which Sam enumerated on Page 2 of this thread regarding Antoine's overall talents. Midway thru NBA Summer League, it's too early to proclaim anything. A head coach or an assistant can sometimes take a special interest in a player and, if so, the future can brighten considerably. Other times that doesn't happen. Personalities can also play a role.
Look no further than Steph Curry to find a small mid major player with an extraordinary ability to score, which AD also has. Steph though got a chance on the big stage in the 2008 Midwest Regional at Ford Field and today he's a future Hall of Famer.

The odds are stacked against anyone to make the NBA, especially someone 6-1,160 lbs. Pound for pound, Rashad was the best Titan I've ever seen and he never got a sniff at the NBA. That doesn't diminish what Rashad did for U-D. Same will go for AD, no matter where he lands. He will always be someone we can be proud of. I doubt he will ever do anything that makes us cringe and not be proud that he's a Titan.
