Wicks was doing his job signing players early he didn’t have an unfair advantage or any advantage at all he just out worked us he was out recruiting players not busy trying to promote Twan!!!! One advantage Wicks does have is he doesn’t have to drag along his deadbeat son! Mike Davis is a good father trying to help his kids! We should all be responsible for our choices! Wicks did hire the older brother of Noah Reynolds as an assistant. And he kept 3 players from the prior year. But he did take a number of D-2 players. Wicks also took Ruedinger and Wonders who were told by Davis that UD did not have an interest in players from class C and D schools(smaller schools). Both ended up playing in the Valley and then transferring home. I think between the two they have hit the game winners 7 times. Seemed funny at the time because both are better perimeter shooters than anyone on our team and plus defenders. As we all know the Davis Staff has always been enthralled with shooters. Both move their feet well, move the ball well and are team oriented and academically do not have to have their hands held. They came out of High schools with enrollments under 300, we’re first team all staters, led their teams to state championship games, are redshirt sophmores and were AAU teammates. Plus one is a graduate of a Catholic high school. Then we go out and recruit a guy who can’t play D and is no where close as a shooter. Yet Davis comes out and says, he can really shoot the ball! Now we can play against them for 3 years.

Liddell most naturally talented player Davis has ever brought here in my opinion. Checked out of a few games mentally but that team was fun to watch. Will never get over what that season could have been if a few things go differently.

Lol I assumed wrong because I’ve spelled Gerald’s last name wrong before in the past. That’s funny.

If you are looking for a little deceit or dishonesty don’t look at me take a look in the mirror! Joey L. is one year ahead of Wonders and Ruedinger so maybe he influenced the disinterest. Waterman did not come to us out of high school. We recruited him out of Niagara. Davis had Tim Waller e-mail back the , we are not interested in players out of the smaller high schools. I kept the e-mail because it pissed me off.

From The Detroit News (behind paywall): "All by myself: Meet Detroit Mercy’s one-man court stormer" www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/2024/02/19/all-by-myself-meet-detroit-mercys-one-man-court-stormer/72655744007/"This is what happened," (Sherman) Henry, 70, of Detroit, said during an interview Saturday, before the next Detroit Mercy game. "They always fall behind, so this time they were ahead, and I'm thinking, you know what, they're gonna win this game. Now, I'm not gonna throw anybody under the bus, but (a friend) said, 'If they win, are we gonna storm the court?' I said, 'Yeah, we'll storm the court.'

Now if our Athletic Department had any class at all they would reward this guy with a free membership to the TC or 4 free season tickets for next year which would cost them nothing and reward the fan for all the free advertising he supplied us!

Now that Sherman has been outed by Tony Paul, campus police have issued a warrant for his arrest for violating arena policy in stepping on the court; he will likely be turned over to the authorities for prosecution and banned from Calihan for life (his and/or the program's).

On a side note, I do want Manciel back next season. On Saturday, in the pregame he looked like the second coming of Trajan Langdon. Of course, he pretty much disappeared in the actual game but he has the tools.
